A new and exciting ministry opportunity is waiting for volunteers to step forward. As part of the Sacramental Preparation Programs for Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist and Reconciliation we have the need for parents to share their time, talent and EXPERTISE. Have you had a baby baptized in the past few years? Has one of your children been Confirmed recently? Perhaps your son or daughter not long ago celebrated First Eucharist. Did someone in your family experience God's forgiveness in Reconciliation for the first time a while back? Your experience of these celebrations might be the most valuable gift you have to offer. If you are a parent who has celebrated Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist and are sacramentally active and in good standing in the church, do you have a few hours a month to offer for two or three months this year? Take a leap of faith. Be a MENTOR in one of our sacramental programs. Please call Gregory Wesley in the parish center at 273-6121for more details. Quebec City, Canada will be the site of the 49th International Eucharistic Congress in June, 2008. The Diocese of Rochester will bring a delegation of adults (18 years or older) to Quebec City from Thursday, June 19th through Monday, June 23rd, 2008. The Diocese has reserved buses and a limited number of rooms. Cost will be approximately $1,000 per person including hotel, breakfasts, farewell dinner, transportation and excursions.
