ATTENTION ALL YOUNG ADULTS
In the tradition of "Theology on Tap", there will be a casual and comfortable gathering for young adults in their 20s and 30s to mix and mingle and talk about the Faith. It will be held on January 14th at St. Catherine's Parish Center, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Father Carsten Martensen of Ithaca College will be speaking on the theme of Finding God in Our Daily Living. There will be coffee, tea, and desserts as well. You are invited to come, discuss, snack, and meet other young adults from the surrounding parishes. Bring a friend or two, and a snack to share! Please come and help kick-start what will hopefully grow to become a regular gathering of faith-filled folks to share and discuss theology and spirituality!
DISCIPLES IN MISSION
Our parish is participating in Disciples in Mission: An Evangelization Experience. The program provides us with opportunities to grow in holiness, to become more welcoming, and to witness Christ more consciously in our families, our neighborhoods, and workplaces. This weekend and next weekend are our "Signup Sundays" for the program. We will share more with you about the program, and you will have the opportunity to sign up for a small faith-sharing group, or use a family or teen activities booklet. The small prayer groups will meet 6 times during Lent. Participating in one or more of these activities is a great way to make Lent an enriching spiritual experience. You will learn more about Scripture and how you and other group members can apply it to your life. Please pick up the brochure and form and sign up this or next weekend. Sign-up forms can be placed in the collection basket, dropped at the information table, or dropped at the Parish Center. Copies of the materials to be used are available at the table.
TRAINING FOR ALTAR SERVERS
There will be a training session for all interested in sharing in this ministry here at Immaculate Conception Church. The ministry is open to all in grade four to adults. Lately we are seeing families coming forth to share in a beautiful ministry together. Parents are welcome to come and be trained with their children. The session will be held Monday, February 11, at 6:30 PM in Church.
BULLETIN ADVERTISERS NEEDED
We are in need of new advertisers for the back of our bulletin. If you have a business and would like to make it known to our parishioners, please call Ginny Seacord at 273-6121.

Financial statements of contribution for the year 2007 will be sent out before the end of the month. If for some reason you need it sooner, please contact Sister M. Elise at the Parish Center (273-6121).

THANK YOU…..
to all who had any part in making our Christmas liturgies so very beautiful! In an effort not to forget anyone, we give a huge general thank you to the church decorators, our musicians, liturgical ministers, servers, celebrant, and anyone else who enriched our Christmas celebrations. May God's blessings be with you for your dedication to our parish.
NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
Today marks the beginning of National Vocation Awareness Week. How fitting that the Church uses the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord to highlight this week long event. We identify with Jesus as He begins His public ministry and we are invited to accept our own mission and to renew our baptism in the Spirit. Consider the gifts of the Spirit that have been given to you. How are you using these gifts to build God's kingdom? Is God calling you to married life? Perhaps your happiness will be found as a single person. Might God be calling you to a Church vocation--lay, consecrated or ordained? As Jesus heard His Father's voice, let us listen for God's invitation to us. If you would like to speak to someone regarding a possible vocation to the priesthood, please call the Office of Vocation Awareness at (585)461-2890. If you are interested in religious life, you may contact Sister Sheila Stevenson RSM at ssheilastevenson@aol.com or Sister Donna DelSDanto SSJ at ddelsanto@ssjrochester.org.
