FLAG DAY CELEBRATION:  The Immaculate Conception School family invites everyone to their celebration of Flag Day on Thursday, June 14th. At 9:00 AM, members of the military will be at school for a flag raising. At 1:00 PM, they will gather again at the flagpole outside on Plain Street to remember CT1 John C. Smith Jr., USN, an ICS alumnus and 23 year old sailor on the USS Liberty who was killed by Israeli forces during the Six-Day War in 1967. This is the 40th anniversary of his death and the school flagpole is dedicated to him. The afternoon activities will include a brass quartet, the singing of patriotic songs by the student body and all present, and a flag lowering.
