VOCATION AWARENESS:
In today's readings, Jesus prays for unity and Stephen prays for forgiveness. Two thousand years later, our world is still starving for unity and forgiveness. Can you be an instrument of God's grace and love? Have you ever considered that God may be calling you to be His instrument  as an ordained or religious? If so, please call the Office of Vocation Awareness at (585)461-2890 or visit the website at: www.dor.org/vocations

BUILDING PEACE WITH JUSTICE: As Stephen was being stoned he cried out: "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." Do these words sound familiar? Stephen echoes the words of Jesus when He was being executed: "Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing." (Luke 23)
Reflection: How can these just men forgive their executioners? Where does that kind of forgiveness come from? Why did Pope John Paul II say that "there is no peace without forgiveness?"
