WOMEN OF THE DIOCESE ARE
INVITED………

to participate in a special day of prayer sponsored by the Diocesan Women's Commission. The event, "In My Own Voice: Reflections on Prayer and Personality," will be held Saturday, September 29th from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM at Nazareth College's Shults Center.  Using the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator, the day will offer women the opportunity to grow in self-awareness and become more conscious of the way they most comfortably  communicate with others and with God. Cost, including continental breakfast, lunch, and materials is $25.00. Come, relax, pray, and pamper your spirit! Registration can be done on line at www.stbernards.edu. Mail in registration forms are available by calling (585)442-9816. Registration ends September 20th. Ann Argetsinger, IC parishioner, is a member of the Women's Commission and you can reach her at (607) 272-7053 if you have any questions.

SPECIAL MINISTRIES
COLLECTION

On the weekend of September 29th and 30th, the Stewardship Committee is hosting a special second collection to help support our youth ministry program. This collection will help offset the cost for 9 of our young people to attend the National Catholic Youth Conference in Columbus, Ohio November 8-11.  If all other fundraising efforts are successful for covering the cost of this trip, your collection contributions will go toward scholarships for other events such as diocesan youth retreats, Catholic Scouting retreats,  the Junior High Youth Rally, and  the Diocesan Youth Convention to name a few. We thank each of you in advance for your support and continued investment in the spiritual and faith development of all young people in our parish.

COME TAKE PART IN OUR FAMILY MASS

On Sunday, September 30th we will host a "Family Mass" during the 10:30 a.m. Mass. This Mass will feature a contemporary music style involving  the contemporary and traditional choir members and will be geared toward young people and families. Even though young people and families are our "target" for this Mass, we hope you will come and be part in the first of three such Masses scheduled for this year.

CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Thank you! The national and diocesan offices of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development wish to extend their thanks to our parishioners who generously contributed to the CCHD collection. Please continue to pray for our sisters and brothers living below the poverty line and for community groups working to make long-term changes. CALVARY CEMETERY

On October 1st, the rates for lots and openings at Calvary Cemetery will be increased. If you are considering making a purchase of lots in the near future, you might want to do this before the rates go up.

CEMETERY CLEAN-UP: All flower pots must be removed from Calvary Cemetery by Thursday, November 1st. If you wish to keep those belonging to you, we ask that you remove them as soon as possible. After October 1st we will find it necessary to clear away anything that is still on the grounds.
