Dear Parents and children,
Welcome
to the new school year! Religious
education isn’t exactly “school”, but we try to follow the school year and take
holidays off when families may be away.
Therefore, there are no classes next week because of the Columbus Day
holiday. In return, I hope that you
will place a priority on religious education in your child’s life and make sure
that your child attends as many classes as possible.
I plan
to call parents if your child is not in attendance. If your child has been sick, absence is understandable
and I would appreciate it if you would call 273-0303 to let me know. If it is just a sports practice, perhaps you
should consider which is more important.
Another
change this year is keeping all the classes on the first floor and only
using the Plain Street doors (near the flagpole). If this is a problem for anyone with a disability, let me
know. I want to accommodate your needs
in addition to giving your family a sense of the importance of God in our
lives.
God is
our focus. We may give parents
opportunities to learn about God or to learn about spirituality. You will be getting a monthly newsletter to
keep you informed.
