We are a Roman Catholic Church located at 113 N. Geneva Street in Ithaca, NY. Whether you are a long-time parishioner or a first time visitor, we’re glad you are here. This is where we gather to meet as brothers and sisters to share our Catholic faith, worship and encounter our Lord, Jesus Christ through the Eucharist. We strive to make our parish a community of God’s love, and communion of hearts. Please join us!
Prayer to Know my Vocation
I glorify you, God, in all that I do.
In mind, body, and spirit
I give my best to You.
Help me to follow your will
no matter the call:
sister, brother, or priest,
I promise my all.
If you call me to marriage,
I promise to love,
and to teach my own children
to seek grace from above.
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and will be
forever. Amen.

Rita de Cascia (2004) Directed by Giorgio Capitani and starring Vittoria Belvedere. Famous as the patron of hopeless situations, St. Rita of Cascia is immortalized in this wonderful, deeply moving film about this beautiful woman who lived in Italy in the 14th century. Starring Vittoria Belvedere and Martin Crewes, this powerful story combines high drama, great love, deep betrayal, senseless tragedy, profound forgiveness and strong faith as it tells the story of this brave and loyal woman who married her knight, helped him overcome his dark past and convert to faith, happily bore him two children, and later endures immense pain as she loses everything in her life. She finds peace and new hope through generosity of a nearby convent of sisters, and with their help she develops a deep union with Christ that greatly inspires all who near her. Total run time is 3 hours. Movie is in English and Italian.

Fifth Sunday of Easter
Jesus says whoever remains in me will produce much fruit. This is the main theme of this Sunday. Jesus was not the first to use the image of the vine. The prophets used it to describe the fidelity/infidelity of the people of Israel.
The criticism of the prophets is used to help us reflect, and to prune us, to help us produce more fruit. It may be unpleasant but necessary if we are to produce fruit for the kingdom. The conditions to live united with Christ are clear. We live in Him by keeping God’s word continually in our mind and making it the guide of our actions; by maintaining a prayerful life; by receiving Sacraments that draw out his grace. Yielding to the direction of the Holy Spirit will enhance our union with God. More importantly, by being united with one another as a community of love. Our love for one another must be real and authentic. In a community of disciples, the good of one will be the good of all. We are meant to be sources of nourishment that revive the spirits, feed hope and enliven the bodies of our sisters and brothers.
If we remain in Christ both in good times and bad times, we will enjoy much peace and consolation as members of the early Church did. May the Risen Lord continue to draw us to himself and to one another. The first reading tells us that Paul who, despite all difficulties, remained in Christ and with his disciples.
CATHOLIC MINISTRIES APPEAL

Wisdom of The Church
You’re invited to take part in a new adult faith formation opportunity at our Parish called “Wisdom of the Church”. We’ll be studying Church teaching that focuses on living our faith in the world. This new group will start by reading some shorter writings by St. Pope John Paul. All are welcome. If you’ve never read a papal document, or if you’ve read all of them, this is the group for you! Just come with a willingness to listen, discuss, and grow in faith with others. The first session will take place on Sunday, May 5, right after the 10:30am Mass (approximately 11:40am) in the conference room in the Parish Center.
In receiving the body of Christ we are strengthened to be the body of Christ in the world.
The Blessed Mother, Mary. is our parish patroness and the true model of faith. We honor her through prayers of intercession.
Our mission includes striving to be a community of God's love and service in our community and the world.
Father Chumo hears confessions each Saturday from 2:00pm - 3:30 pm. This is a healing sacrament enjoyed by many, so come early!
21 beautiful stained glass windows of the Saints are visible around our church building.
You'll find a vibrant faith community where ideas are welcome and many hands help to bring them to fruition.
